It is with great sorrow that the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame is informing you of the passing of the one of the great heroes of our sport.
Guido Hibdon passed away on March 10th, after battling cancer for several years. Hibdon was a much-loved icon of the sport of bass fishing and was one the early inductees into the Hall of Fame.
Hibdon was well known for his ability to teach others on the finer aspects of the fishing game. Many of our inductees have mentioned him at varying times as a mentor.
He will be sorely missed by all of us but remain as a primary reason the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame exists. Hibdon is enshrined in the Hall forever along with his legacy as a teacher.a mentor, a great angler, great father, and friend.
